Paisley Wines Boombox Barossa Shiraz 2023 (Australia)"Inky dark maroon in colour, the nose reveals aromas of chocolate, plums, cocoa powder, licorice, blackberries and coffee beans. There is a fine line of refreshing acidity through to supple tannins on this wine of medium length. Good now, it should be even better in two to three years, and then drink well for the following eight to ten. Good value" Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot Deep red with purple hues. Deep red with purple hues. The nose has a wonderful lift of raspberry fruits, floral notes, choc mint and a herbal, menthol note. The medium to full bodied palate has juicy red fruits, blackcurrant, earthy, savoury notes and black olives. The oak has introduced a cedary, roasted meat character. Soft silky tannins define the mid palate and complement the vibrant and juicy fruit. It finishes long with berry fruit, fine tannins and cedary oak. Drink young while it is vibrant and fresh but will age in the medium term for up to ten years.
Paisley Wines was created in 2016 by Derek Fitzgerald and Kirsten Harvey and combines both of their experience with their mutual passion for music, art and great wine.
Derek’s 90’s love-affair with dance parties and techno music has inspired this range. He used to make CD for friends with his best DJ mixes and signed them ‘Mixed by DJ Deadly. Paisley Wines Estate Vineyard is located at 440m above sea level, directly above the town of Angaston in the northern end of the Barossa region. The dividing line between the Barossa Valley and the Eden Valley GIs falls over the top of the property and the classification of the vineyard site is Eden Valley. The Vineyard is planted to 12 acres of 21+ year old Shiraz.
