Palate takes its lead from the nose with complex nutty cereal, (muesli), and stone fruits. Citrus notes give drive and length. Ethereal floral element also noticed. Elegant. 89% of the grapes are whole bunch pressed before undergoing fermentation in 22% new French oak barriques with 60% wild yeast (40% innoculated).

89% of the grapes are whole bunch pressed before undergoing fermentation in 22% new French oak barriques with 60% wild yeast (40% innoculated). Less than 20% went through malolactic fermentation. Wine was matured for 10 months on lees in barrique, with lees stiring before being fined, filtered and bottled.
Food Pairing: Irongate Chardonnay is an intense, richly flavoured wine and is an ideal match for rich seafood and white meat dishes. Try it with char-grilled squid and lemon butter sauce, or barbecued chicken.
