The plant you will receive is a pup from the mother plant shown in Photo 1. I acquired this mother plant from Jazz Fern in Taiwan three years ago. This pup is an original generation (OG) from the true 'Yellow Moon,' not a sporeling.

Here’s a brief guide to the differences between a Platycerium pup (OG), tissue culture (TC), and sporelings:

Pups and TC plants generally retain the traits of their parent plants.
Sporelings, however, can show significant variation from their parents, which often makes them more affordable than TC or pups. That said, exceptional sporelings can develop unique traits. For example, the dwarf version of 'Yellow Moon' was selected from sporelings and is now valued higher than the standard 'Yellow Moon' in regions like Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
