This is volume two of what is anticipated to be a four volume set, covering Orange County as it was in 1778 when the state land grant system was created. Because I began investigating the Saxapahaw Old Fields before I even conceived of the four volume set, I have finished volume two before any of the other volumes.

This is volume two of what is anticipated to be a four volume set, covering Orange County as it was in 1778 when the state land grant system was created. Because I began investigating the Saxapahaw Old Fields before I even conceived of the four volume set, I have finished volume two before any of the other volumes. That is to say, even though I titled this book as volume two, there are, as yet, no other volumes in the series. However, I anticipate that the full four volume set will be completed at some future time.
