When word hit the streets that the 10th Generation Honda Civic was released 2016, our team here at Injen Technology couldn't wait to get our hands on for development! Once inside our secret test lab, our engineers found that the little 1.5L turbo engine was extremely robust and packed a serious punch! We instantly knew that this pumped up machine needed the touch from our legendary team here at Injen Technology. Quick, nimble, and sporty are all words used to describe the 2016-2021 Honda Civic. Our engineering team here at Injen Technology took the 2016-2020 Honda Civic equipped with the 1.5L Turbocharged engine deep into our R&D lab to extract the hidden power potential inside the engine and what've come up is nothing short of amazing. Our engineers found that there was hidden power in the intake tube design and designed an intake tube with smooth transitions for reduced restriction and improved performance. Our new SP1573 cold air intake opens up the intake tract with a large 2.75"aluminum intake tube that runs down the engine compartment and places the air filter behind the front bumper cover. This added length and cooler air allows that turbo and engine to breathe deep and produce the power that you've been craving. To take it one step further, our team also utilized our patented MR technology and our patented air fusion process that allows Intakes to be finely tuned during the manufacturing process for maximum performance WITHOUT the need for additional electronic tuners. Short Review:
It’s affordable and dark-skin friendly! A rich moisturizing lotion texture, lightly fragranced, with no white cast. If you have oily skin, you don't even need to moisturize beforehand, just skip straight to this sunscreen after cleansing. (Probably wouldn't be the same for people with dry skin). It’s at first tacky but it dries down to a smooth finish. Though this does have a shine to it that leaves your skin with a healthy dewy glow, if you have super oily skin like me, do follow up with a powder. If not after a couple of hours you’ll go from glowy to a grease soaked donut.
The Story:
I was shocked that the bottle was tiny/the size of my hand (funny when I’ve been through this shock at least a hundred times when trying sunscreens from Korean and Japanese brands) but rest assured, it does do its job (at least for me) and is affordable.
I’ve struggled with finding a decent sunscreen for a good year now. I’ve tried Neutrogena Clear Face (baaad breakout), Biore Aqua Rich (breakout), Nieva UV Super Water Gel (breakout), Frudiva (okay no breakouts but heavily scented, thick lotion, and left me super shiny), Hada Labo (beautiful lightweight texture but made me break out)—basically the struggle was real. Until I landed on Australian Gold tinted sunscreen. That stuff is magic, keeps me matte, and makes my skin look better but the darkest shade has a gray undertone so I have to follow it up with bronzer.
This sunscreen is perfect for when I don’t want to deal with the hassle of wearing my tinted sunscreen, am going out to run a quick errand, or when I’m staying indoors the entire day. The pump is super useful, especially if you do the two finger method application method. It comes out a yellowish color but once you rub it in, it easily disappears into the skin. At first, it feels tacky, almost as if you’ve applied a serum, but within 1-3 minutes it dries down to a smooth finish. It does leave a shine but nothing that a sebum or setting powder can’t handle for 4-5 hours. The big pointer is that so far no breakouts but I’ve been using this only for two days so I’ll update this if I see any changes in my skin.
I’m super glad I found this affordable option! I was looking at Elta MD (heard it piles, especially with makeup so I held back) and La Roche Posay Anthelios Ultra Light but luckily I decided to peak at the more affordable spectrum of sunscreen. As of now, this sunscreen is a keeper. Let’s see how it stands after a week!

I absolutely love this sunscreen! It’s lightweight, not greasy, and blends perfectly into my skin without leaving any white cast. It keeps my skin protected and glowing all day, even in the hot sun. I’ve noticed my face feels softer and more hydrated since I started using it. Definitely one of my must-haves I’ll keep buying this one for sure!
