Artist Bio:

I am a South African-born artist who began my artistic journey as a self-taught artist specializing in equine and pet portraits. One of my biggest achievements early in my career was making it into the finals of the prestigious Equus Film Festival Art Competition in 2017.

In 2019, I made the pivotal decision to pursue art as a full-time career, a choice that has profoundly transformed my life. Since then, I have never looked back, fully embracing the creative journey. This decision has not only enriched my artistic practice but has also allowed me to connect with a diverse and inspiring community of individuals. I have had the privilege of engaging with collectors both locally and internationally including Namibia, New Zealand, Australia, Germany, USA, and the UK.

As my career has progressed, I have actively sought to refine my artistic skills and explore a diverse array of themes, embarking on a profound journey of self-discovery. This evolution has encouraged me to experiment with different mediums, techniques, and subject matter, allowing my creativity to flourish in unexpected ways. My aim is to create art that is nuanced and imbued with emotional and conceptual depth, inviting viewers to engage with each piece on a personal level. I believe that art possesses a unique power to connect with the human spirit, serving as a universal language that transcends words and fosters deeper connections.

My artistic inspiration is deeply rooted in the captivating beauty and
mysterious allure of nature, with a particular focus on the intricate world of wildlife. Additionally, I draw inspiration from my personal experiences and observations of the ever-evolving world around me. By blending the external beauty of nature with the internal landscape of human experience, I aim to create pieces that resonate on multiple levels, inviting viewers to explore their own interpretations and reflections

Inspiration:

My "Portrait Of The Unsung Guardians" draws inspiration from the resilient spirit of South African women, whose strength and resilience have shaped their communities through generations of adversity. It aims to capture the essence of their experiences—both the burdens they carry and the unwavering love they offer to their families.

At the heart of this painting lies a tapestry of powerful symbolism. The rhino, a formidable guardian, embodies both tenacity and protection, reflecting the fierce strength with which these women shield their families from life’s adversities. The protea—our beloved national flower—stands as a testament to beauty and diversity, capturing the essence of their resilience to flourish even in the harshest of conditions. The kaleidoscope of vibrant colors in the clothing symbolize the rich cultural heritage, reflecting the joy and vibrancy that coexist with their daily struggles.

Enveloping the scene is a golden background, radiant and warm, symbolizing hope and the promise of a brighter future, as well as the profound love that these women share—a love that nurtures and inspires.

My intent was to honor their stories and to remind viewers of the profound impact these women have on their families and society. Despite the weight of their past and the difficulties of the present, South African women continue to be pillars of strength, instilling hope and resilience in future generations. This painting serves as a tribute and a call to recognize and support the vital roles they play in shaping a brighter future.

so good
Format: Kindle
I’ve read any number of fairy tale retellings and I believe this one is top ten. The characters are likeable but complex enough to be interesting; the plot stands alone but leads you to the next book. The dialogue is also quite clever.

Nice standalone

3.5 stars. Reminds me of the old school romances of the 80s and 90s. Boy meets girl. They fight. They fall in love. Boy screws up. Girl flees. They kiss and make up. One thing that I absolutely adore about Loretta Marshall's worlds is just how inventive she is with the magic. Magic via flowers? How does her brain think of these things?

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.

Definitely worth the read!
Format: Kindle
After taking a deep breath and taking in that wicked twist of an ending, I have finally composed myself. My first thought when I started this book was that I love Reyna's character. I was intrigued by her connection with her familiar and the Ruin that is plaguing her land. It came as no surprise that she took her sister's place in an attempt to protect her. When they reach the Air Court everything slows down. This is where it was iffy for me. First of all, I like multiple POV's in books however 7 is a bit much. It starts to interrupt the story line. I felt like I was finally making progress connecting with one character, then it was switched to another person. I felt they all had necessary or pertinent information but not necessarily were they all POV worthy. The only other thing that annoyed me was that Reyna constantly was " trapped." She would rush off without thinking, only to need rescuing. She is brilliant in a fight, but she really doesn't think through anything. Lorcan is amazing. I know he might be on the "bad" list, but his background is so interesting. Eislyn(Reyna's sister) is really so sweet, but calculating. I enjoyed her and Thane's dialogue. The author did an amazing job with the imagery in this book. Everything was so detailed it was easy to fall into the scene. I love unexpected twists and while part of the ending I expected, I wasn't expecting how it took place. All in all, I found it very entertaining and I am very invested in continuing this series. Favorite quotes: "The truth may be twisted but never false." "Who was she if she was not the enemy of the Air Court? What was her purpose of she no longer has that?" "In a war-torn land, love was always a lie."

Great Read!!! Great story!!!
Format: Kindle
The series is long, but Ms. Wolfhart does a fantastic job of weaving this tale while bringing so much to the characters. Surprises and plot twists along the way to keep you intrigued. There is some graphic sex, but is no way the focal point. Grammar was excellent (a rare find with a lot of self publishers) with only a few noted errors. I rarely give 4 stars, let alone 5.
