Description:
Cortec® VpCI®-369 is an oil-based temporary coating that provides extreme corrosion protection in aggressive environments. It is one of our most-popular wet film rust inhibitors and lubricants. The protective anti rust film is self-healing, provides excellent lubricity and salt-spray resistance. Used for long-term protection in harsh conditions with the option for removal at the end of the preservation period.
Packaging:
Available in 5 gallon pails. Store indoors and out of direct sunlight at 40-100ºF. Contact Us to get a quote for this product in drums. Available in a ready-to-use diluted version as Cortec® VpCI®-369 D. Also available in aerosol cans as CorShield® VpCI®-369 Spray.
How to Use:
The surface must be prepared before applying. Mix the product prior to use. It can be applied by spray, brush, roll or dip. Clean tools immediately after use. VpCI®-369 can be easily removed with alkaline cleaners, such as Cortec® VpCI®-414.
Typical Applications:
It can be used for three main stages of a metal component's life-cycle: layup, transit and storage. Common applications include: wire rope, sheltered coating, gear protectant and lubricant, long-term equipment lay-up, cylinders and working or moving parts.
