Features

Rugged and Reliable
The Philips HeartStart FRx automated external defibrillator (AED) is easy to use, everywhere. It is lightweight and works in a variety of conditions including extreme weather, wet conditions, and dusty environments.

As Easy As 1-2-3

1. Press the green On/Off button to turn on the FRx, which activates voice instruction and visual icons.
2. Place the pads on the patient as directed by voice instructions.
3. If advised by the device, press the orange Shock button for a shock to be delivered.

Guided by Voice Commands
The FRx includes features to help guide the treatment of SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) with easy setup, real-time metronome and clear, step-by-step voice prompts paced to your actions. Provides CPR instructions for infants and children under 25 kg (55 lbs) or 0-8 years old, and adults and children over 25 kg (55 lbs) or greater than 8 years old.

Smart Maintenance
Once installed and activated, the FRx is easy to use and maintain. It performs a series of automatic self-tests daily, weekly, and monthly to check battery capacity, pads readiness, and the state of its internal circuitry. It can last up to four years between battery replacements.

Quick Shock Feature
Has patented Quick Shock feature that allows the FRx to typically deliver a shock within 8 seconds after CPR. Automatically assesses heart rhythm and only delivers a shock if the victim’s rhythm is determined to be treatable by the Philips advanced algorithm, even if the Shock button is pressed.

Adaptable, Cost Effective
Contains a single pair of SMART Pads that can be used on both adult and child patients. . Includes an optional Infant/Child Key; simply insert it and the defibrillator adjusts instruction and therapy, eliminating the need for additional infant/child pads.

The Plastic Waterproof Carry Case is made of hard-shell plastic is suited for more rigorous use, particularly in wet outdoor settings. It can also accommodate a spare battery, spare pads, and the contents of the Fast Response Kit.
